Maple Curly: Curly Maple is cream to light reddish brown and highly figured with scattered curls and/or blisters. The curl is sometimes referred to as "cross fire."

Maple Quilted: Quilted Maple is light pink to white with lots of peanutty water spots and blisters. It is used for musical instruments. Source: Western United States.
