Kewazinga

Kewazinga Veneer

Kewazinga is rotary cut Bubinga (Guibourtia demeusei).  Kewazinga veneer is known not just for its colors ranging from a pinkish red to a darker reddish brown with darker purple or black streaks, but also for its wild swirling grain.  These figures include waterfall, pommele, quilted, or mottled.  There is a lot of demand for Kewazinga as the highly figured wood makes lovely furniture and musical instruments.  While Kewazinga resembles Rosewood, it is an entirely different species of tree that grows in Equatorial Africa.  Other names for Kewazinga are Bubinga, African Rosewood, Essingang, and Buvenga.

Kewzinga veneer is available in 4’x8’ and 4’x10’ sizes and a selection of backers, including 10 mil, 22.2 mil (BFV) and Peel and Stick (PSA).
