Bosse Veneer

Bosse wood (Leplaea cedrata) grows in West and Central Africa.  This wood is a pale pink color that ages to a medium brown color and is often highly figured.  Bosse wood has a variety of grains, including straight, interlocked, and wavy.  Other names for Bosse are Nigerian pearwood, and Light Guarea.

Uses for Bosse wood veneer include boat interiors, furniture inlay, and cabinet making.

Bosse wood veneer is available in 4’x8’ and 4’x10’ sheets, in either a pommele figure or highly figured ropey.  There is a choice of backers, including 10 mil, 22.2 mil (Bubble free), and Peel & Stick (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) that is available with special order.
