Butternut Wood Veneer

Butternut (Juglans cinerea) trees grow throughout the eastern United States and Canada. Butternut wood is related to Black Walnut wood and shares a similar grain pattern.  Butternut heartwood is a medium dark brown in color, but not as dark as Black Walnut wood.  Butternut has a straight grain, but a soft texture.  Butternut wood finishes well, having a unique silky sheen.

Butternut veneer is used for interior trim for boats, cabinets, wall paneling, and furniture.

Other names for Butternut include White Walnut.

Butternut veneer is available in 4’x8’ or 4’x10’ sheets with 22.2 mil (Bubble free) backing or special order Peel & Stick (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) backing.
